Jon Byers, Founder & Managing Director of Anderson Rose: "Since Labour came to power it has become more complicated and more expensive to operate an estate agency business or to own a property, especially high value or rental property. A change of leadership does not indicate that there will be a change of policy towards the property industry, in fact under Andy Burnham things may be worse. There is speculation that Burnham will call an immediate General Election - gambling on a greater chance of success now vs two years later. If that happens and he wins then we will have five more years of challenge. If he loses and isn't replaced by Zac, then we have some hope!"
